Born a Leader
We all have a story of our lives—a story that is unique, unrepeatable, and divinely significant. From the moment we are born, life begins to shape us through family, culture, education, and experience. Along the way, we learn lessons, adopt beliefs, and gradually condition ourselves to a certain quality of life.
Within each of us lies what I call a “Book of Rules.” This book is not written on paper but engraved in our minds and hearts. It contains the patterns, assumptions, and values that guide us unconsciously. It determines how we interpret events, what we consider possible, and even the emotions we experience daily. For some, these rules lead to freedom and growth. For others, they become limitations and barriers.
But there is a greater truth: we were all born to lead. Leadership is not reserved for a few charismatic individuals—it is a seed planted by God in every human being. Genesis 1:28 declares:
“God blessed them and said to them, ‘Be fruitful and increase in number; fill the earth and subdue it. Rule over the fish in the sea and the birds in the sky and over every living creature that moves on the ground.’”
From the very beginning, God gave mankind the mandate to lead, rule, and have dominion. This is more than authority over creation; it is the divine call to take responsibility, influence others positively, and shape the world around us.
As we grow, society may try to redefine us, experiences may attempt to confine us, and fear may try to silence us. But deep within, the seed of leadership remains. True leadership is not about titles, positions, or recognition—it is about identity and purpose. It is about realizing that God designed us with influence and responsibility.
The world needs leaders who understand this truth. Leaders who are not controlled by the limiting rules of the past but are renewed in their thinking through Christ. As Romans 12:2 says:
“Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God’s will is—his good, pleasing and perfect will.”
To be born a leader means to rise above excuses, to recognize the divine deposit within us, and to boldly live out our God-given assignment.
You are not a mistake. You are not ordinary. You are a leader in your sphere, chosen to influence, impact, and inspire.
